I am a teacher trainer, researcher and cultural industry professional from Finland. Inspiring digital solutions, development of ongoing learning and power of networking keep me running. My expertise is in competence-based teacher education and gamified professional development. My research focus is on digital open badge-driven learning, gamification and desired competences.

I’m a passionate developer and at home with early adopters. I’ve been developing teaching and learning processes and online environments for several institutions and degrees. My doctoral dissertation doctoral dissertation is the first to address digital open badges and badge-driven learning. I currently work with digital open badge-driven learning and research related to motivation, competence-based professional development, and the concept of desired competences.
